It works by helping to restore the optimal flow of energy or “chi” along the energy channels, called meridians, in our body. At Higgins Chiropractic, we offer the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) style, which differs from modern approaches like medical acupuncture or dry needling. This form helps address the underlying cause of the problem and the symptoms.

Dr. Tammy has over 20 years of experience helping patients with various health conditions. Although chiropractic care is the cornerstone of our approach, acupuncture can often be a powerful adjunct to help with specific situations.
Based on your consultation and assessments, Dr. Tammy will design a customized care plan to help you meet your health and wellness goals. If acupuncture can help you reach those goals, she’ll recommend it and explain what to expect.

What to Expect
Many people are concerned about the needles used in acupuncture. However, these needles completely differ from those used to administer injections or draw blood. They’re as fine as a human hair, and most people don’t feel them as they are placed.
We respect your modesty and provide gowns and blankets to keep you covered and warm. It’s our goal to ensure you’re comfortable, with dim lights and soothing music to help you relax during your session.
